Ziplining Fun!

This was our Adventure Club outing last week.  I mentioned in the last post that we had gone and was going to post a picture or two.

We had a wonderful time.  The morning air was fresh and crisp.  I breathed in the autumn air and it was like a balm to the soul.  This is one of the best times of year.  You can smell the aroma of the leaves, how they are starting to turn and drop from their branches.  It made for an ideal day to zipline.  We did about 5 or 6 ziplines.  I can’t remember the exact count.  It was a ziplining obstacle course.  The last two ziplines were double ziplines and 2 people could go at the same time – Fun!
At the first line we (me, dad, and sister) climbed a set of steep steps and made our way to the platform.  I have to say, it was a little bit nerve-wracking!  This adventure was really my dad’s idea, as he has been ziplining before.  So, he volunteered to go first.  Then I decided to go after him.  I was nervous all the way up until I jumped off the platform and put my trust in the line above.  It held me firmly and I zipped away comfortably, feeling the wind in my face.  I whooped and hollered throughout the first line.  It was so much fun and I would definitely go on a zip line adventure again.

Moving On

Ugh! I feel awful…I’ve been avoiding my blog because I fell behind in my own, self-induced challenge.  I have enjoyed my challenge but I started to get behind.  I made it just beyond the halfway point when a family member (who will remain nameless) pointed out that they liked my writing before I did my challenge better.  I countered that this “challenge” was just a way to get me writing and posting every day (which obviously didn’t last as I had planned).  Yet, they still insinuated that they liked the “before” posts better.  So, here I am, calling off the challenge, not just because of what that person told me, but because I realized that I am not going to stop writing.  I will continue to write whether I have a challenge or not.  When I started this blog, I was a bit afraid or intimidated at first and had trouble coming up with things I really wanted to share (not write but share). So, I created the 30 Day Blog Challenge as a way to get me writing.  But listen Blog Challenge….”I don’t Need You Anymore!!!!  I’ve Found My Way!!!”

So, really that’s all I have to share about that topic.   Oh, I do want to let you all know that I’ve crossed off an item on my adventure club / bucket list.  It was Zip-Lining!  I went with my dad and sister and it was amazing!!! I’m hoping to post a couple pictures in my next post of the beautiful views we got so be on the lookout for that.

Have a Super-Duper, wonderful evening everyone!
