Having a down day? Just watch this and have a laugh. Laughter is good for the soul and it’s nice to find it in these times of trouble. I was cleaning out my email today and I found this video that my dad had sent me earlier this year. I watched it again about three times and I laugh out loud EVERY time. It’s too bad that it’s the Chevy that falls apart and not the Ford! Enjoy.
Tonight was the first time that my little boy has gone “trick or treating”. Actually, it was really “trunk and treating” since the event was held at our church and the kids just go around and get candy from everyone. Halloween has never really been a holiday I’ve been fond of. Maybe because I don’t like a lot of the scary stuff that goes along with it. There is a darkness behind certain things that I don’t care to expose myself to. But this evening was fun because it was about spending time with others, and after getting the candy in the parking lot, we got to go inside and eat, play games and just enjoy the fellowship of others.
What I enjoyed more than anything was seeing how much fun my little boy had. I got him a blue, plastic pumpkin to put his candy in and he held on to that pumpkin for the entire trunk or treat time outside. The first two times he got candy, the “givers” had to put it in the pumpkin for him. By the third time, he got the hang of it and was taking the candy and putting it in the pumpkin. After a while, his pumpkin started to get heavy and he was dragging it along. He almost fell over once from the weight but quickly recovered.
As for costume, he was a puppy dog. I took an old winter hat of my husbands, cut out black, felt pieces and hot glued them on. It was adorable. Then I just used eyeliner for whiskers and there you have it! A super easy, cute and cheap costume.
Anyhow, after having his hands painted with a spider and cobweb, munching on snacks, running around the dinner hall, and coloring, it was time to come home. He had a good night and I will remember this first halloween forever.
Today, Fox released a report (please watch THIS) about the Benghazi situation. It is very obvious that our government IS and HAS been lying. It amazes me that our president can say these things and think he can get away with it. He obviously thinks that Americans are not smart enough to see what is going on and that he can get away with this scandalous LIE. Watch this video that shows what the white house says at first and how the story changes in the days following.
This is ridiculous. Looking back on the lies that have been told makes my jaw drop. Now we have learned that the white house received emails that there was an attack. We know that there was a drone that allowed the white house to watch the attack in LIVE time. They watched as these men fought and were killed! What makes this all even worse is thatwe now know that help was denied. HELP WAS DENIED – not once or twice but at least three times! This is maddening because there was options. We could have had help there within two hours. Some of our men weren’t killed until 6 hours after the fighting started. The President ought to be ashamed of himself. What happened to the “transparency” that Obama promised when he was running for president. We’ve never had transparency. He has hidden his radical agenda from the very beginning and has PROVEN to be a pathological liar. I know this sounds harsh but it is the truth. He says one thing and does another. Or he says something and turns around and says the opposite. I shouldn’t be surprised that he is able to lie about something as big as this too but all the same it is incredible that he is playing politics when American lives have died!
There is so much information if people are only paying attention and listening. I tell you again, search out the truth! It is so important in these times that we know what we believe and that we stand on the side of truth. Read, learn, be proactive in your knowledge base. You may need it in the coming times!
This is an AMAZING message from Bishop E. W. Jackson to the black church community about the need to have a mass exodus from the democratic party, and why. His message is powerful and truthful. I hope you all take the time to watch this. Let me know what you think…

I’m currently reading the book “How an Economy Grows and Why it Crashes” by Peter D. Schiff and Andrew J. Schiff. These two brothers had a father who taught them about economics in the form of stories, when they were small. It was easy for them to comprehend and they were able to learn much from their father.
For someone like me, who has never had any kind of real understanding of economics, and has thought it was interesting but much to confusing or large of a subject to grasp, THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU! I started it yesterday and am almost halfway through it. It is easy reading and the concepts of economics are made simple. It is filled with little pictures all the way through and is really a fun read.
This book may be for you if you’ve ever wondered:
- Why governments can spend without ever seeming to run out of money?
- Why some countries are rich while others are poor?
- Whether spending or saving is the best cure for a bad economy?
- Where inflation comes from?
(The above were taken from the back of the book)
Anyhow, I’m learning so much from this book and it’s such a quick
read that it’s definitely worth it. I hope some of you decide to read
Anyone have any other books they would recommend on this subject for a beginner who just wants more understanding?
Please click HERE for a fun trailer of the book. It’s only a minute long.
Wow! The second presidential debate was pretty intense. This video shows how Candy Crowley “reigned” in the two candidates. I find it funny that most of the clips are really her reigning in Governor Romney. Coincidental? I think not. I also chuckle when watching this clip because the president acts like a little first grader, running to Candy every chance he gets. “Candy…Candy….” It reminded me of “Teacher…Teacher…Help me! Make him stop!”
Anyhow, one of the reasons I am posting this is because I was talking with a friend a couple days ago and asked her if she’d been watching the debate. She said yeah, and then proceeded to tell me how a lot of her coworkers were saying how rude Romney was. I was inwardly appalled because I never got that impression. Yes at times, they were more aggressive in this debate. But, to me it seemed like Romney was fighting just to get his equal time (which by the way did not happen – Obama got more time: Read this for more info on WHY). But, that same evening that I spoke with my friend, I heard clips from the media in regards to how the second debate had gone. The clips were media all talking about how rude they thought Romney had been in telling the President : “Mr President, I’m still speaking” when the President was trying to interrupt. This just shows me that there are so many people out there who have no idea how biased and skewed mainstream media is today. This media is trying so hard to influence this election in the direction of Obama. I really think it is sad that people don’t know that there are accurate sources of information out there and they can instantly have the truth at their fingertips.
Anyhow, back to the debate. My favorite part of the debate was the last question, I believe. The one that asked for something about who the candidate is. Mitt Romney’s answer was a splash of cold water. Honest and refreshing. This is someone who will be a true leader in the troubled times that lay ahead of us as a country.
